CHAN Eagles have been training on their shooting as well as movement inside the opposing box ahead of Friday’s crucial Group C match against Libya, just as ex-Eagles skipper Mutiu Adepoju has insisted the strikers were not to blame for a barren draw with Rwanda.

Eagles spokesman Toyin Ibitoye disclosed that emphasis has been on finishing in training ahead of the Libya game.
“We are now working more on shooting and better, intelligent movements inside the opponents’ box for our next game,” Ibitoye said.
The team trained twice yesterday.
Meanwhile, Adepoju has refused to blame the CHAN Eagles attackers’ profligacy for Monday night’s shock scoreless draw with Rwanda.
“No, instead I would say it is a case of the team not being lucky enough,” Adepoju said.
“Hitting the crossbar twice is an indication of effort at scoring and the ball not going in clearly shows the absence of luck which is also important in a game.”
Adepoju admitted the draw was the least he expected, but at the same time insisted it won’t hurt the team’s chances of progressing to the knock out stages of CHAN.
