Forfeiture to Algeria: Amaju Pinnick tenders apology to Nigerians

The Nigeria Football Federation Chairman, Amaju Melvin Pinnick has taken responsibility for the lost of three points in the 2018 World Cup qualifier to the Algerian.Pinnick
This came as he also apologised to Nigerians for the Super Eagles’ lost of three points in their 2018 World Cup qualifier to the Algerian.
The loss came as a result of fielding an ineligible player during the in the 2018 World Cup qualifier match between Nigeria and Algeria
The fixture on Nov. 10 had ended 1-1, but FIFA on Tuesday added that the decision did not affect the final standings in African Qualifying Competition Group B.
Shehu Abdullahi, and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is also receiving a fine of CHF 6,000.
Pinnick in his statement on Wednesday tendered his wholehearted apology to Nigeria and Nigerians for the Shehu Abdullahi error.
He said ‘It is unforgivable and could have undone months of hard work. As head of the Federation, I take responsibility for this. It happened on my watch.
