Rohr keen to toughen Eagles defence

Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr is keen to strengthen his defence ahead of Nigeria’s campaign at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Gernot RohrRohr is still searching for options but this time around an extra central defender who has similar style to Mainz defence ace Leon Balogun, who for now is the stand-out player in Nigeria’s defence
Although Kenneth Omeruo impressed in last week’s friendly match against Argentina, which Eagles won 4-2, Rohr appears not to be keen on him any more as he searches for a fourth defender aside Chidozie Awaziem, William Troost-Ekong and Balogun.
The coach who played the 3-5-2 formation against the two-time world champions in Russia, seems to be in favour of playing with a back four in his favourite 4-3-3- formation used in Nigeria’s qualifying games.
