Abuja – Controversial Chairman of the Special Investigation Panel for the Recovery of Public Property, Chief Okoi Obono-Obla, was fired by the Presidency over multiple factors, chief among them questions over his certificates and illegal actions taken by him, which seriously embarrassed the federal government, a top source said last night.
The Presidency source hinted that the activities of Obla, a lawyer from Cross River State, had been has been under critical review for some time in the Presidency and his ‘outright dismissal and prosecution is imminent’.
