The First Lady of Oyo State, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, has commended the founder of Live Abundantly Empowerment Initiative, LAEI, a Non-Government Organisation, Dr. Ama Onyerinma for her support for the less privilege and the vulnerable, especially women and children.
She spoke at the Gala and Award Night ceremony held at the MUSON Centre, Onikan Lagos, as some distinguished personalities were presented with awards of recognition.
Florence AjimobiMrs Ajimobi, who was presented with the Founder’s Award, frowned at the various degrees the havoc and culture of silence has caused on the female folk, and advocated for education, which she says would liberate the women and especially, the girl child. She said a lot of women had been battered, humiliated, violated and even died due to unfair treatments, and commended the group for its effort to empower and enlighten women in across the country.
