By Johnny Edward: Stanley Amuzie insists that his club, FC Lugano, must bounce back to winning ways from their back to back losses in the Swiss Super League when they take on Stephen Odey’s FC Zurich today (Saturday), reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
FC Lugano lost 3-0 to Saint Gallen and 4-2 to Young Boys in their last two games, and Nigeria international, Amuzie, knows they must switch their focus to Saturday’s game hoping to win as they target an Europa League finish.
“There are five teams in contention for the two available spots for Europa League so we are right in it until the end,” Amuzie told CSN.
“We are very disappointed at the last two results, but we have to move on now.
“We need to take our chances and be solid at the back.”
The 22 year old also relishes an encounter against his compatriot, Stephen Odey, who has fired blanks in his last three league games.
Odey has scored twice in six league games since he arrived.
“It will be nice to play against him and particularly to win,” Amuzie said.
“I recall my debut for Lugano was against FC Zurich and we lost 3-0. So a win will be great for us as a team.
