Victor Oladipo: NBA star wears Black Panther mask during slam dunk contest at All-Star Games

Oladipo wore a Black Panther mask during the Slam Dunk contest. NBA star of Nigerian descent Victor Oladipo got into Superhero mood during the Slam Dunk championship at the at the 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend on Saturday, February 17. Black Panther is currently the biggest thing in pop culture following the box-office success of the Marvel movie. Co-stars of the superhero movie Chadwick Boseman and Michael B. Jordan were courtside during the Slam Dunk championship at Staples Center. Competing in the Slam Dunk contest, Oladipo was presented the Black Panther mask by Boseman to the delight of the crowd. The NBA All-Star GamesThe Indiana Pacers star went ahead to slam dunk with the mask on. For the NBA All-Star game on Sunday, February 18, Oladipo played for Team LeBron and scored seven points with three assists, three steals and two rebounds. This was his first All-Star appearance as he has averaged 24.4 points per game (11th in the league) in leading the Pacers to a 33-25 record, far beyond expectations. Team LeBron beat Team Steph Curry in the All-Star game 148-145. LeBron James was named the 2018 All-Star. The Cleveland Cavaliers star scored 29 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists to win his third career All-Star Game MVP.
