Flamingos failed to qualify for the FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup for the first time as they were eliminated on away goals rule. The Second Leg Ended 1-1 In Cameroon.” Super Falcons star forward Asisat Oshoala is disappointed that Nigeria’s Under 17 women team (Flamingos) has failed to qualify for the World Cup.The Flamingos played a 2 – 2 draw against Cameroon in Benin City, and played another draw (1 – 1) against the Cameroonians in the away leg.Oshoala who is the reigning African women’s player of the year expressed her disappointment via a message on her official Twitter account.She posted, “ No U-17 World Cup For us ……” The result means that the Flamingos failed to qualify for the FIFA Women’s U-17 World Cup for the first time as they were eliminated on away goals rule.
