By Adeboye Amosu: Turkish club, Bursaspor, have confirmed they are in talks with Leicester City over a possible loan move for Nigeria winger, Ahmed Musa, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Musa has not featured for the Foxes in the English Premier League this season though he made the bench in the team’s 2-1 defeat against Liverpool last month.
His only appearance came in the Carabao Cup win at Sheffield United where he was on target once.
The 25-year-old is now seeking a move away from Leicester City to a club that will give him regular playing time in order to boost his chances of making Nigeria’s World Cup squad.
The Green and White who already have two Nigerian internationals in their ranks (William Troost-Ekong and Mikel Agu) can give Musa the chance to play regular football again.
“Ahmed Musa is a very influential player who will be able to add value and class to us,” Bursaspor’s representative, Hasan Parlakay stated during an interaction with the media.
“If we are realistic, we cannot buy him.
“But he wants to play with Nigeria in the World Cup. For this you have to keep playing and keep form in the league. We have players in our team from the same national team, Agu and Ekong.
“Wearing the Bursaspor shirt on loan until the end of the year is an attractive offer. We hope to give good news in the coming days.
