The DJ is one of Nigeria’s new crop of crowd controllers who handles his business as a pro should.He understands everything; timing, mixing, switching and has an ear for just the right type of music to make any venue pop. That’s why he has a residency at Quilox, one of Lagos’s most luxurious nightclubs. He’s also the official DJ for Sound City Radio, one of the city’s most loved stations for pop music. This is his first outing with a body of work. “Vibes” contains his efforts as a music maker. He’s been pushing at this for a while, making records with a number of artists to reflect his music philosophy. That school of thought is unapologetically pop, and he’s packed this album full of it. A good example is his 2017 hit ‘Assignment’ with Olamide. It drew from the rapper’s street momentum.Elsewhere there’s Niniola’s House delivery on ‘Ro mo le’, while Lil Kesh hits the club for premium bottle service on ‘Water bottle’.
