Lagos State government has assured the people of the state that the security of their lives and property will always receive top priority in the state.
The assurance was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the Commissioner For Information and Strategy, Mr Steve Ayorinde.
Ayorinde said the government’s pledge was a testimony to the fact that the state governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode, is committed to growing the economy of the state.
“Security, being one of the tripods upon which the administration of His Excellency, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode is built, will continue to be given top priority to ensure the safety of lives and property, as well as to grow the economy of the state,” he said.
In the spirit of the yuletide season, the commissioner said the state government has donated trailer-loads of Lake Rice each to the Nigerian Armed Forces and the police, as well as other security agencies in the state.
