    Iceland Star Sigurdsson Scores Stunner As Everton Cruise Past Swansea

    By James Agberebi: Everton continued their impressive run since the appointment of Sam Allardyce as they came from a goal down to beat struggling Swansea 3-1 in the Premier League at Goodison Park on Monday night.
    Goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Iceland’s Gylfi Sigurdsson who scored a wonderful goal, and Wayne Rooney secured the win for Everton after Leroy Fer had given Swansea the lead.
    The win means Everton have won four of their last five league games, drawing one, and are now ninth on 25 points, while Swansea are rooted to bottom spot in the league table on 12 points.
    Swansea were dealt an early blow as Cote d’Ivoire striker Wilfred Bony went off injured in the fifth minute and was replaced by Nigerian-born Tammy Abraham.
    In the eighth minute, Swansea had the first attempt on goal following a brilliant interchange of passes between Abraham and Luciano Narsingh but the latter’s low shot was well saved by Everton’s keeper Jordan Pickford.
