Unknown robbers attacked the home of the chairman of the Ebonyi State chapter of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Leonard Nkah, in Mile 50 area of Abakaliki, the state capital, on Sunday, December 17, 2017.The robbers, who were reported to be five in number, carried out the attack in the evening and made away with valuables and an undisclosed amount of cash.According to a report by Premium Times, Nkah confirmed the attack and reported that his pregnant wife had been briefly abducted by the robbers before she was dumped in the bush.He said the robbers had attacked his house because they believed he had a large sum of money in his possession.He said, “I was called by my wife around 9 p.m. that robbers came to our house and demanded for my whereabouts. They said they got information that there was money that was brought in and that they need the money. They forced her to lie down despite the fact that she was pregnant.
