President Muhammadu Buhari will on Monday attend the 59th Proclamation of Republic of Niger ceremony in Tahoua, Niger.
A statement signed on Sunday by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Garba Shehu, said President Buhari would join the presidents of Mali, Burkina Faso, Chad, Mauritania and Niger at the event.
The historic event holds on December 18 annually, to commemorate the founding of the Republic of Niger and creation of the Presidency.
After the ceremony, President Buhari would hold bilateral meetings with some of his counterparts before returning to Abuja same day.
He would be accompanied on the trip by governors Aminu Masari, Ibrahim Gaidam and Kashim Shettima of Katsina, Yobe and Borno states respectively.
The planned trip comes less than four days after the President returned to the country from Paris where he attended the One Planet Summit.
