The return of fuel queues has forced the NNPC boss back to the country. Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Maikanti Baru, has cut his London trip short to address an impending fuel scarcity in the country. According to the NNPC’s spokesman, Ndu Ughamadu, Baru has flown back to Nigeria to address a “matter of urgent national importance”.According to Ughamadu, before leaving London, Baru had assured Nigerians that there was no need to panic as there’s enough fuel to go around for the festive period.He said, “For the umpteenth time, I wish to call on all Nigerians to stop panic buying. We have said times without number that NNPC has sufficient products to cater for the needs of all consumers.
