The shortcode *1945# will be used for all things related to Nigeria’s participation at the World Cup in Russia. The Nigeria Football Federation has announced a short code — *1945#- which will be used for all campaigns related to Nigeria’s preparation for and involvement in the Russia 2018 World Cup.The announcement was made at a launch organised with the support of STA Mobile, an IT communications and services company.According to the Football Federation’s 2nd Vice President, Shehu Dikko, the shortcode would be available for use by all NFF partners, sponsors and suppliers. He also disclosed that an ‘Official Supporter’ program has been created where corporate concerns not presently in a relationship with the NFF can become a part of the buzz in the build-up to the World Cup.STA’s Managing Director, Biodun Jagun explained that part of the motivation behind the code was for fans of the Eagles to win trips to the World Cup in Russia.
