    Ibrahim Idris: Lawyer drags IGP to court for disobeying court orders

    The lawyer is seeking a court order compelling IGP Ibrahim Idris to obey all subsisting judgements against the Police. A legal practitioner based in Lagos, Barrister Ademola Odusote has instituted a legal action against the Attorney-General of the Federation, Ibrahim Malami; inspector general of Police, Ibrahim Kpotun Idris; and the Nigerian Police Force.Odusote is seeking an order of the court, compelling IGP Idris to obey and enforce all subsisting court judgements won against the Police.The lawyer is also seeking an order of the court, directing the AGF to advise the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to remove the Police boss from the office as inspector general of Police.He accused IGP Idris of ”continuous breach of the provisions of section 287(3) of the 1999 constitution (as amended), thereby posing immense threat to the sustenance of our democracy”.
