    Aretha Franklin has come out to debunk claims that she is dead. Music legend, Aretha Franklin has responded to her death rumours which broke out on Tuesday, November 21, 2017.According to the Queen of soul, during an exclusive statement with US Weekly, she assured her fans that she is still thriving well. When the hashtag #RipArethaFranklin began trending on Twitter, Tuesday morning, the legendary singer, 75, told Us, “I’m doing well generally, all test have come back good.”“I’ve lost a lot of weight due to side effects of medicine, it affects your weight … Thanxxxx for your concern,” she added in an emailed statement to US Weekly The report of her death which was initially started by a fake Aretha Franklin Twitter account gained more than 15,000 mentions. The post read: “It Is With Sad News That We Announce the Passing Of The ‘Queen Of Soul’ Aretha Franklin 1942-2017.”  Fans immediately reacted, assuming the tweet was true.
