Kaduna LP guber candidate, Asake, condemns murder of party’s women leader

The Labour Party governorship candidate in Kaduna State, Mr Jonathan Asake, has condemned the gruesome murder of the party’s women leader in Kaura Local Government, Mrs Victoria Chimtex, last night.

Asake said the killing of Chimtex was a clear case of political assassination in view of her rising profile in the area.

This was made known by James Swam, the media aide to the gubernatorial candidate, in a statement in Kaduna on Tuesday.

The statement partly reads: “I condemn in strong terms the gruesome murder of the Labour Party women leader in Kaura Local Government Area of the state. This is a clear case of political assassination and I charge the security agencies to leave no stone unturned in unravelling the mastermind.”

Asake prayed for the repose of her soul and the quick recovery of her husband who sustained serious injury from the attack and presently lying critically ill in the hospital.
