The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate in the February 2019 Presidential Election, Atiku Abubakar on Wednesday presented four additional witnesses at the presidential election petitions tribunal.
The witnesses claimed that results in the election were unjustifiably cancelled in some wards and polling units in Karu and Doma Local Government Areas of Nasarawa State.
The witnesses who served as Polling Unit and Ward Agents allege that results were cancelled in areas where the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won the election.

Under cross-examination, Counsel to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), President Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) dismissed the claims on the ground that all results were taken to the State Collation Centre from where the results were announced.
A fifth witness from Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State who was also presented by the PDP claimed that February 23, 2019, Presidential election was marred by widespread rigging and stuffing of ballot boxes.
He claims that the malpractice was perpetrated by INEC officials who discarded the use of card readers for accreditation of voters.
Under cross-examination, counsel to President Buhari, Mister Lateef Fagbemi countered the witness claim as he pointed out a paragraph in the witness statement affirming that the election was generally peaceful, free and fair.
The Tribunal later went on break as the petitioners seek to present more witnesses.
