Prophet Israel Oladele Ogundipe, leader of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Genesis Global, renowned for his exceptional acts of kindness, will on Monday, October 1, lead a special Independence Day service tagged Mercy Seat.
According to the church leader popularly known as the Unstoppable Genesis, the event holding at the church’s Isheri outreach, (Grace Centre), Igando road, opposite Petrolcam filling station, Agric Estate, Isheri, Lagos State, offer participants an opportunity to experience God’s mercy in their personal lives and seek God’s intervention for the country.
The church recently came into public consciousness after a video went viral, where the prophet did something unusual by giving away offering received during the service to a needy church member. In the video, many members were taking turns to give their offering to the church but after some time, Ogundipe announced that God had told him to give away the offerings to one member. He thus called out a woman who was ‘living in lack and sadness’ and went ahead to gift the woman the whole money collected.
“I was just preaching and God said to me. There is a member inside your church, as people were giving she was looking at herself and saying I didn’t have money to drop and God said bless her with everything,” Ogundipe said, adding that his mission in life was not to get all the riches in the world but rather to be a blessing to his generation.
