Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi scored his first Premier League goal of the season as Arsenal lost 2-3 to Chelsea on Saturday, August 18.Iwobi was named among the substitutes as Arsenal lost 2-0 to Premier League champions Manchester City in the opening day fixture.New Arsenal boss Unai Emery decided to start the forward who was not given any minutes last weekend in a crucial London derby against Chelsea. The Gunner fell behind to an early goal by Pedro Rodriguez in the 10th minute after he latched on to a ball by Marcos Alonso.Chelsea doubled their lead when Alvaro Morata converted their second of the game through an assist by Cesar Azpilicueta in the 20th minute.Iwobi and his teammates however were given a lifeline through Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s goal in the 37th minute.Mkhitaryan turned provider for Iwobi to score the equaliser in the 41st minute as Arsenal held on for a first half draw.The Nigerian midfielder showed off the Shaku Shaku dance steps to celebrate his first goal of the season. Iwobi was replaced in the 75th minute of the second half by Alexandre Lacazette as Arsenal chased a late winner.The Gunners however conceded a late goal from Chelsea left back Alonso who slot in an assist by substitute Eden Hazard in the 81st minute.
