Some senators belonging to the ruling All Progressives Congress are in Akwa Ibom state for the formal announcement of Senator Godswill Akpabio’s defection to the party.
The senators were led by the senate majority leader, Ahmed Lawan.
Akpabio, a former People’s Democratic Party bigwig, resigned as the minority leader of the Nigerian senate on Tuesday.
