Mo Abudu, 2Face, Bolanle Austen Peters and Nigeria’s vice president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, have paid a visit to Hollywood.The visit which held in Los Angeles on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, was an interactive investment gathering with individuals in Hollywood. Speaking at the forum, Adeyemi Dipeolu, the Special Adviser to the President on Economic Matters said the aim is to promote cooperation between Nigerian and the international market, and attract investors to Nigeria. Describing Nigeria as the world’s fastest growing entertainment market, Segun Awolowo, the executive director of Nigerian Export Promotion Council, said they [Nigeria] want to share their value proposition
and learn innovative ways of doing things.Speaking at the event, Abudu talked about making “The Wedding Party,” establishing EbonyLife Studios, and EbonyLife ON, a digital VOD service. “These are truly exciting times for the creativity industry,” Austen Peters wrote on Instagram as she shared a photo of herself after a ‘closed door investor meeting’ with Osinbanjo and Hollywood Producers Chris and Roberta Hanley. Others present at the forum were Toyin Adeniji, the Executive Director of Bank of Industry, Chidia Maduekwe, the managing director of Nigeria Film Corporation, Audu Maikori and Laolu Senbanjo. The visit to Hollywood is part of Osinbajo’s work visit aimed at showcasing the overall improvements in Nigerian business environment – especially technology and entertainment – to entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders around the world.
