Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom
Major stakeholders supporting the re-election of Samuel Ortom of Benue State and his deputy, Benson Abounu, have constituted campaign committees for the 276 council wards in the state.
The committees, which have been tagged Ortom/Abouno Support Movement 2019 were constituted across the state yesterday with the vow to actualize the re-election mandate of the governor. They comprise 35 members headed by a ward coordinator and they placed emphasis on the participation of youths and women. In constituting the committees, they took into consideration appropriate zoning of the positions as well as fair representation of all sections of the ward, interests, and groups. Local government and state committees will be constituted subsequently.
