The Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has sent birthday greetings to former Nigeria international Obinna Nsofor who turns 31 on Sunday.
FIFA sent the birthday greetings to Nsofor on their verified Twitter handle.
They also sent congratulatory messages to other footballers past and present who were also celebrating their birthdays on Sunday.
“Happy birthday to Scot Sinclair (29), Victor Obinna (31), Victor Caceres (33), @, Alvaro Saborio (36), Julian de Guzman (37), Roberto Acuna (46) and many more!,” FIFA wrote on their handle.
Nsofor who recently left South Africa top flight club Cape Town City, featured for Inter Milan in the Serie A, Malaga (loan) in the Spanish Laliga, and Premier League club West Ham (loan).
He represented Nigeria at three Africa Cup of Nations (Egypt 2006, Ghana 2008 and Angola 2010). He scored a goal each at the 2006 and 2010 AFCONs.
He was also in the squad to the 2010 FIFA World Cup hosted by South Africa.
And at junior level he helped Nigeria win the 2005 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Benin Republic and also silver in the football event of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
