Tony Okoroji, the Chairman of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) has alleged that he was threatened by the Special Adviser to President Buhari on Research and Special Projects, Sylvester Imhanobe.The COSON chairman, who spoke to Pulse, said the threats, which came in series of text messages, is as a result his decision to expose the position of the Attorney General of Federation, Abubakar Malami on the legal battle between COSON and Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria, MCSN.Okoroji explained that after he and other members of COSON board had tried to explain to Malami the illegalities surrounding the berth of MCSN, Imhanobe had began threatening him with legal suits.The musical activist further noted that while he’s yet to understand the reasons for the threat from the President’s aide, he had received three text messages that contained insults with name calling from Imhanobe.”After we at COSON addressed a press conference on what had transpired between us and the AGF as well as how he had sold us a dummy. Just after the press conference, I received a text message from Sylvester Imhanobe, Special Assistant to the President on Research and Special Projects from his personal mobile number. “I did not reply Mr Imhanobe’s vile message but forwarded it to the AGF who didn’t act on it.
