Air Force Boss Task Service Men To Sustain Fight Against Boko Haram

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has tasked servicemen engaged in counter-insurgency operation to demonstrate high sense of professionalism in discharging their duties.
This is an effort by the Federal Government in ensuring that the remnants of Boko Haram terrorist in the northeast are wiped out.
Air Marshal Abubakar gave the charge during the passing out parade of 1,542 new recruits of the Nigerian Airforce at Military Training Centre in Kaduna state.
He said that the fight against terrorism and other related crimes is not yet over; hence they must redouble their effort in defending their fatherland from both internal and external aggression.
He warned that the Nigerian Armed Forces have zero tolerance for weakness and any conduct that is inconsistent with service discipline.
He reminded them to imbibe the culture of discipline, absolute loyalty to both civil and military authorities, and to avoid being used by any disgruntled elements in the society.
The Air Force further assured them that his administration places a high priority on welfare and capacity building of officers and men of the service.
The training objective is to inculcate basic military skills in trainees and to provide them with general military orientation required for them to function in the Nigerian Airforce.
Since 2015, the Nigerian Air Force has recruited over 6,000 young men and women into the service, as part of efforts to tackle the nation’s security challenges.
Therefore, as they join their colleagues in the field, it is expected that they stick by the oath they took to protect all law-abiding citizens and visitors from both internal and external aggression.
