Reports say, on January 22nd, Radio was beaten into a coma following a fight. He died from his injuries. Popular Ugandan musician, Mowzey Radio, has died at the age of 33.According to reports, the singer, (real name Moses Ssekibogo), who was an R&B singer, and a member of the popular Ugandan group, Goodlyfe Crew, died around 6am today February 1, at Case clinic in Uganda, where he was being treated for injuries he sustained 9 days ago after a bar fight.Reports say, on January 22nd, Radio was beaten into a coma following a fight with a group at a local drinking spot in Entebbe, Uganda. Five men were arrested for the beating, including the owner of the bar.But Radio died from his wounds, according to a press statement. His death was also confirmed by his official Twitter handle, which wrote: “The king is gone.” Tributes Pour InAmong the first people to mourh his death was Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni, who, a few days ago, donated money for his hospital bills.“I have been told about the untimely death of musician Moses Ssekibogo aka Mowzey Radio. I had only recently made a financial contribution towards his treatment and hoped he would get better. He was a talented young person with a great future ahead of him. May he rest in peace,” Museveni said on twitter. Case Hospital, where Mowzey Radio was admitted, was last week the centre of media attention after large crowds converged there after many celebrities came to the hospital to visit Radio.Addressing a press conference inside Case Hospital, Radio’s manager Balaam Barugahare, flanked by colleagues and Radio’s relatives, said the musician received “five-star treatment” and doctors did all they could to try and save his life.”At any given time, Radio had three doctors monitoring him,” he told reporters.Mowzey Radio’s body was transferred to Mulago Mortuary for postmortem amidst tight security. He will be buried this Saturday February 3rd at Kaga Nakawuka in Uganda.
