President Muhammadu Buhari joined millions of football loving Nigerians to watch the Super Eagles soar over Angola in a quarterfinal fixture at the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Morocco.The president who is currently outside the Country, at the ongoing 30th African Union Summit at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia took time out of his busy schedule to watch the Super Eagles come from behind to win the match.A picture posted on the presidency’s Twitter handle shows the president watching the game. Other high profile personalties reacted to the Super Eagles progression to the next stageAlso Former Vice president and PDP chieftain Atiku Abubakar congratulated the Super Eagles on their hard fought victory in the quarterfinal.In a message posted on his Twitter handle Atiku thanked the Eagles for the Victory. The Governor of Kano State Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was spotted briefly viewing the Super Eagles match against Angola. Super Eagles first team player Kenneth Omeruo took to his Twitter account to Congratulate the Home-based team for their achievement. The super had to come from behind to defeat the Angolans, after missing a couple of chances, Anthony Okpotu redeemed his image by converting the equaliser just before the final whistle. The Super Eagles went on to win the match thanks to a goal by substitute Gabriel Okechukwu The Super Eagles are to face Sudan in the Semi final of the African Nations Championship on Wednesday, January 31.
