Conceded a goal for the first time in the competition. The Enyimba goalkeeper was virtually on holiday in the game.
OSAS OKORO 7/10
A good performance from the versatile right-back who can also play as a winger. Defended well and supported the attack at will. Osas’ sublime cross was headed in by Anthony Okpotu for Nigeria’s opening goal.
STEPHEN EZE 6/10
The centre-back was at his usual best in the game and combined well with Kalu Orji at the heart of the defence.
KALU ORJI 6/10
Did a good job in the defence along with his partner, Stephen Eze.
DANIEL JAMES 5/10
Kept his place in the team despite uninspiring displays in the two previous games. Another below par outing from the left-back.

An average performance from the Rivers United midfielder who will do well to improve his passing skill.
IFEANYI IFEANYI 5/10
The talented midfielder has not hit the required firm expected of him so far at the tournament, and was duly substituted by Rabiu Ali in the second half.

Great display from the Sunshine Stars midfielder who capped a superb outing with a cracking goal.
EMEKA OGBUGH 5/10
Toiled hard to impress in the game without much success. He was subbed off in the 78th minute, replaced by Nur Mohammed.

The young forward missed a sitter late in the first half. He was not at his usual best against the Nzalang National.

An improved performance from the forward who got Nigeria’s opening goal from a well placed header.
