Home-based Super-Eagles midfielder, Ifeanyi Ifeanyi, is doubtful for Nigeria’s final group game against Equatorial Guinea next Tuesday in Agadir, Morocco, Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN) reports.
The Akwa United player was replaced in the second half of Nigeria’s 1-0 win over Libya after sustaining a knock on his knee cap.
“The doctors will examine him (Ifeanyi) further as he receives treatments on his knee cap where he sustained an injury,” Home Eagles coach, Salisu Yusuf revealed during his post match interview on Friday.
Ifeanyi has made two appearances so far in the competition and was subbed off in those encounters.
Theophilus Afelokhai and Moses Eneji are the other players in the team nursing injuries.
Nigeria and Rwanda are joint leaders in Group C on four points apiece. Libya are third in the table while Equatorial Guinea occupy the fourth place.
