Six-time champion Novak Djokovic battled to a four-set victory over Gael Monfils in brutal heat to reach the third round at the Australian Open on Thursday.
Djokovic, seeded 14 after elbow problems, downed Monfils 4-6, 6-3, 6-1, 6-3 and will next play Spanish 21st seed Albert Ramos-Vinolas.
