The governor made this revelation while speaking to youths at a South-West Regional youths Summit held at the WOCDIF Centre in Osogbo, Osun State.
Ajimobi made this revelation while urging youths at the summit to have a positive mindset toward hard work, adding that he spent eight years doing the odd job.

He said his parents only sent him $30 all through his stay abroad, adding that he had to look for a way to survive and the only option was to work at the morgue.
“I left Nigeria in 1963 to study abroad, but throughout my stay there, I was washing dead bodies to support myself to go to school.
“Whenever I got home from work, I will be weeping, remembering the number of dead bodies I washed.
“My boss at work then said I should not be afraid, adding that such feeling is normal for first comers. He encouraged me to always see those dead bodies as iced fish and from the day I began to see the dead as iced fish, I overcame that fear,” he said.
The governor said despite having to do this odd job, he survived and therefore young Nigerians should not be undaunted by challenges but seize every opportunity to chart a successful pathway.
He said, “But against all odds, I survived and that is why I am urging youths to see hard work as the only way to success. I am saying this to challenge the youth of our next generation not to give up.
“This is our chance as youths and as Yorubas to come together to chart a successful pathway for the country.’’
Also at the event, the Commissioner for Regional Integration in Osun State, Bola Ilori said the summit was critical to repositioning the western region for the future.
Over 3,000 youths were at the Center as participants to deliberate on the way forward for the Western Region, drafting a 25-year master plan for the year 2040.
