Premier League champions Chelsea were forced to a 0-0 draw at Championship club Norwich City in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday.
Both teams will meet in a replay at Stamford Bridge to decide who goes through into the fourth round.
The Blues rested some of their first team stars including Super Eagles forward Victor Moses, Eden Hazard, N’Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas, Cesar Azpilicuerta and Marcos Alonso.
However Brazilian defender David Luiz made a return to the Chelsea line-up after being sidelined with injury.
Norwich had their first attempt on goal in the 18th minute through Josh Murphy but his shot was well saved by Willy Caballero for Chelsea.
Murphy went close again on 29 minutes as he cut in from the left only to see his shot go inches over the bar.
In the 33rd minute Kennedy had a chance for Chelsea but Christoph Zimmermann blocked his effort for a corner.
Chelsea came out with more purpose in the second half and had a chance on 50 minutes but Angus Gunn got down well to smother Michy Batshuayi’s long-range shot.
Chelsea continued to press in the early part of the second half and were close again but were again denied by Gunn who dived low to keep out Willian.
Norwich responded with their own attack and almost took the lead from a 70th minute free-kick which was punched away by Caballero with Murphy’s followup volley hitting a Blues player.
With 10 minutes remaining, Murphy ghosted in from the right only to curl his strike over the bar.
