    Wike Directs Contractors To Employ Youths For Project Execution

    Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has directed all contractors handling state government projects to ensure the employment of youths from benefiting communities.
    The governor gave the order on Thursday while flagging off the dualisation of the Omoku-Egbema Road in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of the state.
    He said capital projects are executed for the benefit of the people and that the Omoku-Egbema Road would revive the economy of the area as farmers and traders use the road to promote their businesses.
    Governor Wike informed the people that the contractor has been fully mobilized and that proper construction work would commence before Christmas.
    “This road has been neglected for several years. We are here to dualise the road because  Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area is important to the Rivers State Government.
    “There must be local content in all our contracts.
