    Adedoja asks court to annul Secondus’ election as PDP chairman

    A chairmanship aspirant in the recently-concluded Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s election, Prof. Taoheed Adedoja, has asked a Federal High Court in Abuja to annul the choice of Uche Secondus as chairman.
    He also asked the court to order a fresh election, adding that the post-convention peace panel, headed by Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State, ignored him.Adedoja, who disclosed this in Abuja yesterday, said his name was wrongly spelt by the organisers of the convention as Taoheed Oladoja, instead of Taoheed Adedoja.
    Adedoja, who said his exclusion was a breach of the Electoral Act and the constitution, disclosed that his lawyers had filed a suit asking the court to declare any document submitted by the PDP to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), null and void.He also asked the court to restrain INEC from recognising Secondus as the national chairman of the PDP.
