Home Eagles Forward Okpotu Eyes CHAN Title After NPFL Invitational Win

Home-based Super Eagles forward Anthony Okpotu hopes the side can build on their impressive showing at the 2017 Nigeria Professional Football League invitational tournament and have a successful campaign at the African Nations Championship in Morocco, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The home Eagles beat MFM FC 3-2 in the final of the NPFL invitational Tournament on Sunday at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
The home-based Super Eagles ended the competition with two wins and a draw from three games.
The West Africans who will be making their third appearance at the CHAN in Morocco are yet to win the competition and Okpotu who netted a brace in the win against MFM insisted they can claim the big prize this time around.
“It’s no doubt a morale boosting win for us. The CHAN is few weeks away and when you do well in a competition like this, it will surely have a positive effect on the team,” the Lobi Stars striker told Completesportsnigeria.com.
