Nnaemeka Nwankpa is a recipient of a scholarship sponsored by the Common Ground Foundation founded by rapper, Common. The Common Ground Foundation owned by American rapper, Common, has granted a 4-year tuition scholarship to a Nigerian named Nnaemeka Nwankpa who has been presented with an opportunity to study at Cornell University located in Ithaca, New York.He made the announcement via his Instagram on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, where a picture of him and the recipient was displayed. The MC whose real names are Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr. aims at using the charity organization to “empower underprivileged youth to be strong citizens and citizens of the world.” The Common Ground Foundation which also has a book club targets building the capacity of young people through “leadership development & empowerment, educational development, creative expression.”Common, who doubles as an actor is known for his pro-black activism which borders on preaching about the dignity of the people of colour.
