PDP: Party accuses APC of plotting to use EFCC to embarrass its members

The party claims there’s a plot to suppress its influence by arresting its key members. The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the ruling All Progressives’ Congress (APC) of plotting to use the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to disrupt its national convention scheduled for Saturday, December 9, 2017.The party said it has been reliably informed of a plot by the ruling party to suppress its influence by arresting some of its key members before the convention.In a statement released on its official Twitter account (@OfficialPDPNig) on Thursday, December 7, the party further alleged that the APC is trying to eliminate the opposition to cover for its own failures.The statement read, “We have been reliably informed that the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), has concluded plans to embarrass our great party by using the anti graft agency, EFCC, to arrest and detain key members of our party before the Convention on Saturday December 9, 2017.
