Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court has tendered an early letter of voluntary retirement from the bench on Thursday, December 7, 2017.According to the letter dated December 6, 2017, the judge’s retirement from the bench takes effect from Wednesday, December 6, three months before he’s due for his statutory retirement in March 2018.His one-paragraph letter was received at the Office of the Acting Chief Judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja without a stated reason for the action.According to a report by The Punch, the judge had previously written a notice of retirement dated September 25, 2017 to the National Judicial Council, but it was not acted upon.
