D’Tigers: Nigeria’s Basketball team drops 6 spots in FIBA ranking

Despite the slump, the Super Eagles maintain their place as the highest ranked team in Africa Nigeria’s men’s basketball team, known as D’Tigers, have dropped six places in the new rankings released by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).The rankings were released on November 28, 2017, after Window 1 of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Qualifiers.D’Tigers were ranked in 32nd position, dropping six places from their previous ranking of 26th, with 211.4 points.Despite the slump, the Super Eagles maintain their place as the highest ranked team in Africa.Africa’s RepresentationAngola maintained their 2nd place in Africa. They were ranked 33rd in the world with 202.6 points, just one spot below Nigeria.ALSO READ: D’Tigress players recieve one million naira each for AfroBasket winSenegal follows closely in 36th position in the world ranking with 178.2 points, making them the third best-ranked team in Africa. Tunisia, who are current African champions, drop one place to 46th position with 125.1 points.
