    Super Eagles: Nigeria get N180M from CAF for World Cup preparation

    Ahead of the tournament, the Super Eagles will get N180m ($500,000) from CAF as financial assistance. The Super Eagles of Nigeria will get N180M ($500,000) from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to prepare for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Nigeria have been drawn in Group D along with Argentina, Croatia and Iceland for the 2018 FIFA World Cup which will hold in Russia. Ahead of the tournament, the Super Eagles will get N180m ($500,000) from CAF as financial assistance.  The other African representatives to the 2018 World Cup, Egypt, Senegal, Morocco and Tunisia will also receive the same sum from CAF. CAF made this decision at their last General Assembly which held in November in Rabat, Morocco. The assistance package plan was finalised in Russia when CAF met with the federations of the five countries in Russia before the World Cup draw on Friday, December 2.
