National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Chief John Odigie-Oyegun has allayed fears of party members that the exit of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar from the party will lead to mass exodus party.
Oyegun said contrary to speculations, the APC is growing stronger by the day.
Oyegun who spoke when he received former Chairmen and counselors at the party secretariat however lampooned the Inter party Advisory Committee (IPAC) for making themselves a tool for endorsing the activities of political parties in power, describing them as a group made up of port folio parties.
The APC chairman told the group that already, the race for the 2019 general elections has already started, adding that what the APC need at this point in time is people who understand what the country is going through.
Oyegun who practically played down the impact of Atiku’s defection to the PDP said:
“As a parting shot, I want to say let nobody fear of the defection of the former vice president is going to lead to any deluge.
