    President Buhari is seeking Senate confirmation for Anthony Okechuwku Ojukwu as the executive secretary of the NHRC. President Muhammadu Buhari is seeking Senate confirmation for Anthony Okechuwku Ojukwu as the executive secretary of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).This was contained in President Buhari’s letter read at plenary by Senate President Bukola Saraki on Tuesday, December 5, 2017.The NHRC was established in 1995 to assists victims of human rights violations.ALSO READ: Saraki takes shots at Jonathan, says GEJ was an unprepared leader [VIDEO]The commission also helps in the formulation of the government’s policies on human rights.Oti Ovrawah is the current acting executive secretary.
