Former AS Monaco of France forward Victor Ikpeba has warned Nigeria not to underrate Iceland and Croatia in their World Cup group matches.
Nigeria have been drawn to play against Argentina, Iceland and Croatia in the Group B after Friday 2018 FIFA World Cup draws in Moscow.
Ikpeba, who was part of the Eagles’ squad at the USA ’94 and France 98 World Cup, said Super Eagles technical crew led by Gernot Rohr should start preparation for their group opponents without delay by studding their style of play for easy game during the tournament proper.
“Iceland and Croatia won’t be pushover and we should not look at the two countries as whipping teams in our group. They (Nigeria) have to study how Iceland and Croatia play their games so as to have an edge ahead of them during the tournament. There is no minnow in the world of football again. We must try and pick maximum points in the first two matches. Maybe Argentina will want to beat Nigeria for pride.
