The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won in all the 31 Local Government Areas in the Akwa Ibom State in the just concluded Local Government Elections in the state.
The Akwa Ibom State Independent Electoral Commission (AKISIEC) in a statement on Sunday said the newly-elected local government chairmen and councilors should come for the collection of their certificates of return on Monday, December 4.
The statement signed by the Electoral Commissioner, Legal Matters and Public Affairs, Dr Faith Umoh, affirmed results earlier declared by the returning officers in various locations.

“The chairman-elect of the 31 Local Government Areas and all the councilors-elect respectively are hereby invited to the AKISIEC headquarters at 5, Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo On Monday, December 4, 2017, by 12 noon for the collection of certificates of return,” the statement read in part.
PDP Councillorship candidates also won all 329 wards.
