Ex-governor Nnamani has been asked to report at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi on December 4, 2017 after he was absent at the proceedings of an alleged fraud trial. The Federal High Court in Lagos has fixed December 4, 2017 to re-arraign ex-governor of Enugu state, Chimaroke Nnamani over alleged N5.3billion fraud.According to a report by Punch, neither Nnamani nor the EFCC’s prosecuting counsel were in court for the case, which was fixed for Thursday, November 30, 2017 before Justice Chuka Obiozor of the Federal High Court, Lagos.Though the court could not proceed due to the absence of both the prosecutor, Kelvin Uzozie, and Nnamani himself, when the case was called, a lawyer from the chambers of Rickey Tarfa (SAN), M. Bamidele, announced appearance for Nnamani, but said the ex-governor was outside the country.Bamidele said his law firm got notice for Thursday’s hearing barely six days ahead, hence the inability to contact Nnamani, who was away in London.
