Wike said this while speaking with members of the Senate Committee on Environment on Investigative visit to Ogoniland. Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has said that the Ogoni clean-up exercise which the Federal Government launched in 2016, is a means of scoring political points.The Governor also alleged that the government has not shown seriousness in cleaning up the area.Wike said this while speaking with members of the Senate Committee on Environment on Investigative visit to Ogoniland.The Rivers state Governor also said that the people of Ogoni have been impoverished as a result of the pollution of their land and water.According to Daily Post, Wike said “The Federal Government is not serious about the clean up of Ogoniland.
