About five communities were attacked by armed militiamen chanting war songs. At least 30 women and children in Fulani communities were killed allegedly by a Bachama militia group in Numan Local Government Area of Adamawa State on Monday, November 20, 2017.The armed gang allegedly launched their brutal attacks on settlements in Shafaran, Shawal, Gumara, Kikam and Kadamti villages in the area, with eyewitnesses reporting that they chanted war songs.The attack was confirmed by the spokesperson of Adamawa Police Command, Othman Abubakar, who said investigations have already commenced.”Thirty Fulani children and women were killed during the attacks in Numan villages by suspected Bachama farmers and already investigation has commenced to arrest the suspects.”We were told the attackers hailed from the affected areas. We are on the top of the situation and already investigations have commenced to fish out those involved,” he said.
